Inflammatory Response

Conquering the cognitive impact of infectious disease.

The Inflammatory Responses team has considerable fundamental and applied experience working with SARS-CoV-2 (Arts, Robyn Klein); immunotherapies for infectious disease and neurotrauma (Greg Dekeban, PhD); conventional and innate-like invariant T cell responses in health and disease (Mansour Haeryfar, PhD); B cell immune responses and their role in inflammatory disease (Steven Kerfoot, PhD); and the relationship between the immune system and endothelial injury in critical illness, and their roles in the pathobiology of life-threatening infection (Aleksandra Leligowicz, MD, PhD, FRCPC, ECR).

This team is investigating the neuroinflammatory pathways contributing to post-viral cognitive impairment.
